That’s right, we do not sit still.
Nobody has ever tried to help as many people get healthy and fit with absolute commitment to succeed, so that means there is no playbook. We are being as creative as possible, with hundreds of millions of dollars of TV advertising, network marketing that supports customers to get the best results, and now certification which extends our support with an additional level of expertise, training and personal attention. We are ambitious, and we continue to develop the opportunity so it gets people the best results possible.
As you know, we launched P90X Certification in the spring and have already seen trainers and gyms join us in our mission to help people achieve their goals. At the same time, Chalene and Bret Johnson offered to help us maximize the opportunity. That was one of those “Duh!” moments, when we realized that the best way to grow our business and serve more people was to partner and effectively put these two businesses together.
So I’m pleased to announce that Beachbody is officially working with Powder Blue Productions and Chalene and Bret Johnson to expand our Certification business! Think of it like a (healthy) peanut butter cup. Powder Blue = Peanut Butter (PB, get it?) and Beachbody = Chocolate (Shakeology). Two great companies now working together as one awesome combination!
Powder Blue will provide its expertise and certification infrastructure and an incredible group of Area Promotions Directors (APD’s) that we can then build from and expand, as well as their established lineup of pre-designed group exercise programs including TurboKick, PiYo and Hip Hop Hustle. Plus, we get the benefit of Chalene Johnson’s extensive experience and proven industry expertise to grow the P90X Certification business, plus launch many of our other programs into this channel.
Insanity and Brazil Butt Lift will likely be the first additions. We’ll be giving professional trainers, fitness enthusiasts, and health clubs the opportunity to capitalize on the significant brand strength, TV advertising and demand for our programs in exciting new ways as we leverage the trend of branded fitness programming. At the same time, we’ll be attracting the entire fitness industry into our coaching business so more people get the TOTAL package, fitness, nutrition, and peer support.
Our objective is to maximize this opportunity to benefit as many customers, coaches and trainers as possible, and Chalene and her team at Powder Blue are committed to help this be a world class success!
I couldn’t be happier to join forces with Chalene and Powder Blue, and am especially pleased with the upgrade to my fitness wardrobe!

When one door closes, another door opens. Sometimes you have to be the one to close that door, or several doors, before that right door opens up for you. In February, I “quit” being a Beachbody Coach. I didn’t have the money (I know, I know) and I didn’t have the time to dedicate to growing my business. I had the “I don’t want to sell” mentality, even though deep down I know that’s not what it’s about. It never was, for me. At the beginning of July, I decided I had had enough of the grind I was in. I wasn’t making a difference, and I wasn’t doing what my heart wanted to do – help people through health and fitness. I gave my notice, resigned my job, without another job to go to. I had a vague formulation of a plan. I was going back to school to get my degree in nutrition and fitness, and I was going to become a certified personal trainer. I thought about Beachbody again, as I have every day since I gave up my coach membership, and I knew that was where I belonged. I never had a second of hesitation when it came to leaving my job, or knowing that I would succeed with this new path that is in alignment with my priorities.
I’ve been doing Chalene Johnson’s DVD workouts for what seems like forever. I started with Turbo Jam, jumped on the release of Turbo Fire, and busted my way through ChaLean Extreme. This announcement is like that parachute I was waiting to have open after I took the plunge. That Beachbody has partnered with Powder Blue, at this precise moment in time, is like a bright shining light telling me that I was right in following my gut, my intuition, my heart. Thanks so much for all you do for your employees, your coaches, and the rest of the world that benefits from Beachbody products. I AM a Beachbody product, and I can’t wait to shine.

I, too, got distracted from the nice legs in the skirt that I almost forgot to focus on the great news! I am eager to get all the certification I can. Once my ankle and foot are healed (October by Dr. orders) I be back in training for whatever I can get my hands on. This is exciting news! I have loved P90X and Insanity and heard nothing but incredible transformation stories from Chalene and Bret’s workouts. Congratulations!
You have NO IDEA how excited I am!!!!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE teaching Turbo Kick and Hip Hop Hustle and getting certified in PiYo in October with Miss Alli Vaughn!! Because we will be taking over Florida! Next thing on my list is Brazil Butt Lift for sure! And no better person to spearhead this initiative than Team Johnson!

Not at this time – They have a mature business that is already global with licensees everywhere.
This is GREAT news Carl! I am sure this makes the competition wonder, “Why try to compete with Team Beach Body?” But they should not worry. I have room on my team and they are always welcome to join in on ending the trend. David
With 200 million people in this country overweight or obese, and only 20% of the country working out at all, I think we need more competition. There’s room for us all to fix this problem, and I think we want the decibel level of companies stepping up to get more people fit would be a good thing. meanwhile, we’ll keep working to be better than we were yesterday.

I am not quite sure I understand the excitement. If this is just for branding, we have had Chalene as part of the team for years. If this is just to help the cert program, I am not sure how this helps the network.
I wish somebody could EXPLAIN this in a video. The Chalene team has been with us for 5 years and they have hundreds, if not thousands of coaches already in the network – some are super star diamonds. How is this different? How does it help the network? How does it change anything? I am just wondering?
