105 pounds in FIVE months.
I couldn’t believe this story. I had to read it three times when it came across my desk.
On June 28th, 2011, Tonya W. weighed 267 pounds. She had recently been on a trip to Disney World with her husband and faced many challenges because of her weight. Air travel was difficult, she could barely fit on the teacup ride, and didn’t even want to purchase the photo from The Tower of Terror because she knew it would torment her when she looked at it sitting on her shelf. Her concerns were heightened when she noticed early signs of Diabetes – the same disease which took her Mother’s legs and eventually her life, much too soon.
When she returned from Disney World she started walking the track at the school where she works. It got her up and moving, but still wasn’t enough. That’s when she found Body Gospel.
Along with the program, she changed her eating habits – cutting down on sugar and wasted calories – and was losing five pounds every week! Her goal was to get down to 175 lbs and as of December 2011, had dipped as low as 161. Her husband told her to stay right there because he doesn’t like “skinny girls.” So far, she’s listening. And he’s listening too. Tonya has convinced him to be more conscious about his eating and he has lost 20 pounds of his own.

Hi, just wanted to update you on my weight..I did not listen to my hubby and am now 142lb. and do not want to go any lower but still eating right and exercising.
That’s great Tonya. Way to go girl. I know you didn’t want to go down passed 150 pounds but 142 is ok. You look good and you don’t look skinny skinny at all. You look good.
